For as long as universities have been a hotbed of political activity, there have been Liberal Clubs defending the freedom of students. WAULS has a long and proud history of advocating policies and ideas that are central to the Liberal tradition and philosophy. In recent years, it has been the Liberals on campus that have led the charge on important issues such as Voluntary Student Unionism. As well as pursuing specific goals, and discussing policies, WAULS has a very vibrant social aspect, with events held throughout semester.

No other organisation better prepares students for political engagement than the Liberal Students. After contesting student elections, engaging in debate and socialising with a vibrant and friendly group of like-minded students, you’ll emerge from university a stronger advocate for the Liberal ideals of freedom and individual responsibility.
